Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Staunton throws a head kick that misses.
Highwind fails to land the takedown.
A left and a right from Highwind both land. Nice combination.
Steve Staunton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Highwind cracks Staunton with a good jab.
Staunton looking to score a takedown here. Highwind is defending well but Staunton drives through and ends up in Highwind's guard.
Highwind bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Staunton's guard.
Highwind wants to control from the top but Staunton keeps moving.
Highwind trying to move into half guard but instead Staunton has managed to sweep!
Staunton won't allow Highwind to sweep him here.

Highwind will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Staunton gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Staunton shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Highwind as he avoids it easily.
Staunton moves into range and clinches up with Highwind.
Highwind is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Staunton is defending well.
Highwind is trying to pull guard but Staunton turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cid Highwind. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Highwind blocks an uppercut.
Highwind fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Staunton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Excellent takedown into side control there by Highwind.
Highwind tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.

Highwind is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Staunton has escaped the position, nice work there.
Staunton wants to get back to his feet.
Highwind trying to control the position but Staunton is working away.

Staunton tries to buck Highwind off but Highwind is having none of it.
Staunton sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Staunton wants to improve his position but Highwind is controlling well.
Highwind seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Staunton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Highwind seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Highwind throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Highwind seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Staunton is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
