PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Fernando Turner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Fisher comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Handelbars kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Freddy Fisher!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and Steve Erwin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher is trying hard to land a takedown here. Turner sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Turner is looking to clinch but Fisher is avoiding it.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Fisher is defended easily by Turner.
Fisher lands with a good body shot.
No luck for Turner with that takedown attempt.
Fisher shoots in looking for a takedown. Turner tries to sprawl out of it but Fisher keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Turner manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Turner shoots in for a takedown but Fisher shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fisher changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Turner tries to avoid it but Fisher manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Turner to the ground. Turner escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Fisher shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Turner pinned against the cage. Turner gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Turner shoots for a double leg takedown but Fisher sprawls well. He's pushed Turner's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Fisher drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Turner manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Fisher has Turner in his guard.

Turner jumps guard but Fisher turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fisher is not content to let Turner control the position.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Turner is pressing down on Fisher's thigh, looking to free his foot. Fisher is holding on for now.
