Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lucca Sathler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Peckerson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lucca Sathler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Michael Peckerson! The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Peckerson stuffs the takedown attempt from Sathler. Sathler gets slowly back to his feet. Peckerson closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sathler to the mat! Sathler manages to get full guard. Peckerson trying to control the position from guard on top but Sathler is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Peckerson with a flurry of punches that miss. Peckerson scoring with some ground and pound. Peckerson working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. Peckerson wants to control from the top but Sathler keeps moving. Sathler wants to stand and escape but Peckerson is having none of it. Peckerson slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Peckerson postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Sathler wants to stand up but Peckerson is controlling him. Sathler trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
That's one minute gone in the round. Peckerson throwing strikes but missing. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Sathler shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Peckerson as he jumps to the side. Sathler misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lucca Sathler. That's going to take a lot out of him. Sathler shoots in but Peckerson avoids the takedown attempt easily. Peckerson shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away. Sathler really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Sathler is breathing heavily. Peckerson landing punches. Peckerson cracks Sathler with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Sathler is bucking up trying to escape but Peckerson cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Peckerson is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Sathler has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Sathler! Sathler would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Peckerson will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Sathler won't allow Peckerson to sweep him here. Peckerson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Peckerson working a defensive guard here.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Peckerson throwing strikes off his back to little effect.
Peckerson tries to land a sweep but no joy. Peckerson scores with a short punch from the bottom. Peckerson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up. Peckerson fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Sathler sprawls well initially but Peckerson persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Peckerson winds up and cracks Sathler with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Peckerson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Peckerson takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. Peckerson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Peckerson sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Sathler defending well though. Sathler is trying to stand back up but Peckerson is controlling him

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Sathler shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Sathler is looking to stand but Sathler has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Peckerson is trying desperately to improve position. Sathler is trying to stand up but he's being controlled by his opponent. Peckerson is trying to reverse the position but instead Sathler has taken his back - oops! Sathler is trying to stick to Peckerson's back but Peckerson is turning into Sathler. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Sathler's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Peckerson. Peckerson passes Sathler's left leg - he's now in half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Michael Peckerson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Peckerson shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Sathler counters with a big head kick but Peckerson shrugs it off. Peckerson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Peckerson showed some decent athleticism there. Peckerson prevents Sathler from standing back up.
Peckerson passes to full mount! Peckerson dominating with strikes here. Peckerson in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
Peckerson is landing with some decent strikes but Sathler is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue. Peckerson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Sathler is rocked! Peckerson lands a heavy elbow. Oh Sathler is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Peckerson fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
