Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Arron Alvarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Joe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Arron Alvarez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Johnny Joe!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Yukihiro Yamamoto and Hirohito Nitta.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Alvarez shoots in and gets a takedown into Joe's guard.
Joe is trying to control the position but Alvarez postures up.
Joe wants to sweep but no luck.

Joe had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Alvarez defends it easily.
Alvarez missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Alvarez connects with a couple of short punches.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Joe gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Alvarez wants to work for an arm triangle but Joe is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Alvarez is fighting to break Joe's control of his arms but Joe is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.
Alvarez knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Joe on the ground.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Alvarez shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Joe's guard.

Alvarez has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Joe is working away from the top position though.

Even with his hooks in, Joe manages to miss with strikes from the back.
Joe is hanging on to Alvarez's back as he tries to escape.
Alvarez is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.

Joe is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Alvarez defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.

That was a close second round but I would say that Arron Alvarez will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!

Joe looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Alvarez is fending him off so far but Joe persists. Nope, Alvarez circles away and we're back to standing.
Joe bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.

Arron Alvarez is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Alvarez drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

Alvarez is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Joe knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Joe shoots in and drives through. Alvarez sprawls well.

Joe gets tackled into the cage by Alvarez. Alvarez maintains the clinch.
Joe has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Alvarez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Arron Alvarez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Johnny Joe.

Joe is fighting off a takedown attempt but Alvarez is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Joe to the mat. Joe regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
