Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bubba Gump (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hannibal Lecter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gump comes into the arena with Fucking Hostile - Pantera blaring out of the sound system. Hannibal Lecter has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bubba Gump!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

7 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Hannibal Lecter!
The judges for this bout are Damien Edna, Donatello Bradman and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gump misses the shot to the body.
Lecter dives in and grabs Gump's left leg, looking for a takedown. Gump pushes down on Lecter's head and hops out.
Lecter fails with the takedown
and Gump counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Gump waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Lecter.
Gump misses with an uppercut. Lecter saw that one coming.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lecter.
Bubba Gump has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hannibal Lecter.
Lecter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Gump fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Lecter has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Gump shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Gump is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Gump wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lecter keeps working.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Lecter is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Lecter is looking to control Gump's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lecter avoid being mounted?
Gump throwing shots but Lecter is blocking nicely.
Gump sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Lecter defending well though.
Gump will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Lecter makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lecter.
Gump has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Gump gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.
Lecter doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Gump counters with a shoot takedown. Lecter fights it but they end up in guard.

Lecter wants to stand and escape but Gump is having none of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gump wants to control from the top but Lecter keeps moving.

Lecter working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Gump.
Lecter is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Gump postures up in Lecter's guard and throws a big left but Lecter blocks it.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Lecter shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gump as he jumps to the side.
Lecter misses with a two punch combination.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
A telegraphed right hand from Gump misses the target.
Lecter is trying hard to land a takedown here. Gump sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Gump on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Gump connects with the punch.
Lecter has a takedown stuffed.
Lecter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Gump as he avoids it easily.
Gump throws a hook but Lecter avoids it easily.
Lecter keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A jab lands there for Gump.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lecter with a lazy takedown attempt
and Gump counters with a nice double leg into side control. Lecter won't be happy with that.
Lecter is looking to regain half guard here but Gump keeps moving and retains side control.
That's four minutes gone in the round.

Gump working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.

Lecter can't do much from the bottom here.
Gump cracks Lecter with a big elbow.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gump lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Lecter down.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Gump in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Lecter looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Gump turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Bubba Gump!
Bubba Gump made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'There's shrimp kabobs, shrimp cocktail, shrimp fritters, shrimp gumbo, shrimp scampi...'.
