Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Marcus Kennedy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and ZyD XyD X (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). ZyD XyD X is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

13 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, ZyD XyD X!
The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Hugh Johnson and Steve Erwin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kennedy checks a low kick from XyD X.
Kennedy misses with a takedown attempt - XyD X sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Horrible takedown by Kennedy or perhaps it was just good defense by XyD X which made him look bad.
XyD X bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Kennedy shoots in for a takedown but XyD X shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marcus Kennedy. That's going to take a lot out of him.

XyD X tries to clinch but Kennedy moves away
and Kennedy counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. XyD X is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Kennedy fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but XyD X avoids it really well and circles away.
Kennedy shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as XyD X sprawls well. XyD X wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kennedy gets slowly back to his feet.

Kennedy throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around XyD X's waist but XyD X gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Kennedy off to one side.

Kennedy thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on XyD X if he has to take too many more of those.
Kennedy closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. XyD X quickly recovers to half guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
XyD X is defending against the submission attempts here by Kennedy.
Kennedy has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can XyD X defend it? Kennedy steps over the head and cranks it - XyD X is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Kennedy!

Marcus Kennedy spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
