Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sadji Nosla! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frederick Barbarossa! The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Gwen Towbar and Stewart Dunkirk.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Barbarossa shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Nosla pinned against the cage. Nosla gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Nosla cracks Barbarossa with an open hand slap. Barbarossa closes the distance and clinches up with Nosla, looking for a takedown. Barbarossa pushes Nosla against the cage but Nosla circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Nosla knocks Barbarossa to the floor with a head kick! Can he finish him!?
Barbarossa is rocked! Barbarossa is trying to improve his position. Barbarossa is still in real trouble! Can Nosla finish him? Barbarossa is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Nosla trying to control the action but Barbarossa is working from the bottom. Barbarossa tries to get back to half guard but can't. Barbarossa seems to have recovered his senses.
That's one minute gone in the round. Barbarossa is being controlled here. Nosla wants to stand but Barbarossa has his arm trapped.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Barbarossa closes the distance and clinches up with Nosla, looking for a takedown. Barbarossa pushes Nosla against the cage but Nosla circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Sadji Nosla has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frederick Barbarossa. Nosla stuffs the takedown. Sadji Nosla is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Barbarossa fails with a takedown attempt. Barbarossa looks gassed! Horrible takedown by Barbarossa or perhaps it was just good defense by Nosla which made him look bad. Nosla tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion. Nosla lands a two punch combo.
A big right followed by a crushing left from Nosla knocks Barbarossa out cold! Ouch - that one's going to be featured in highlight reels for years to come!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Sadji Nosla!
