The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Hugh Johnson and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson tries to clinch there but Ginka circles away.
Thompson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Thompson lands in his opponent's guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Thompson changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Ginka looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Thompson takes a little break here. Ginka wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Ginka is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Thompson is controlling him well.

Thompson decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Ginka slaps away a takedown attempt from Thompson , before circling back to the center of the mat.
Ginka scores with a three punch combo!
No joy there for Ginka, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That kick from Thompson tenderised Ginka's leg. Ginka is trying to keep his angry face on.
Ginka is breathing heavily.
Ginka misses with an attempted mid kick.
Ginka tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Thompson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Thompson slips a jab and a cross from Ginka.
Whack! Thompson lands a heavy head kick that drops Ginka. The ref tackles Thompson to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Ginka was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Harry Thompson !
