Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Brownie Jenkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeff Koscheck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jeff Koscheck is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Brownie Jenkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jeff Koscheck!
The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Steve Smith and Yves DeLean.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jenkins scores with a decent looking hook.
Jenkins misses with a two punch combination.
Koscheck tries to clinch up.

Koscheck pushes Jenkins up against the ropes in a clinch.

Koscheck has picked Jenkins up - he's going for a ride! Koscheck dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.
Koscheck is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Jenkins wants to get back to his feet.

Koscheck is looking for a kimura but Jenkins is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Koscheck to get the leverage.

Koscheck tries to close the distance and clinch but Jenkins swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Koscheck has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jenkins clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Jenkins manages to scramble and ends up in full guard, under a barage of strikes . Great composure from Jenkins.
Koscheck postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Koscheck throws a big elbow that misses.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Koscheck is looking to work some ground and pound but Jenkins has wrist control.
Koscheck wants to stand but Jenkins has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Jenkins is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Koscheck is controlling him.
Koscheck pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Jenkins is keeping the position for now.

Koscheck has gone for a leg lock! Jenkins slips out almost immediately though and dives into Koscheck's guard.
Jenkins won't allow Koscheck to sweep him here.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Jenkins throws a right hand that Koscheck ducks under and follows up with a left that Koscheck also avoids with ease.
Koscheck takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Koscheck tries to clinch up but Jenkins circles away and keeps his distance.

Jenkins moves into the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Koscheck.
Jenkins wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Koscheck has him pressed against the ropes.

Koscheck drags the fight down to the ground.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jenkins is looking to stand up but Koscheck won't let him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Koscheck has his foot on Jenkins's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jenkins works his way back into a safe position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Koscheck gets a clinch.

Jenkins tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.

Koscheck is working on a single leg takedown against the ropes. Jenkins can't fight it off and eventually Koscheck manages to take the fight to the floor. Jenkins looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Koscheck's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Koscheck wanted to stand there but Jenkins had control of the position.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Jenkins has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Koscheck off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Koscheck gets tackled into the ropes by Jenkins. Jenkins maintains the clinch.

Koscheck has clasped his hands together around Jenkins's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Koscheck decides to stand back up. Koscheck steps back and let's Jenkins get back to his feet.

Jenkins tries to keep at a distance but Koscheck has taken the fight into the clinch.
Koscheck stalling.
We are yet to see a takedown attempt from Koscheck in the fight. On paper you would think he is the more dominant ground fighter so let's see if these unusual tactics pay off.
Koscheck tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Jenkins smiles and moves away.
Jenkins scores with a jab to the body.
Koscheck is looking to clinch.
Koscheck moves in looking to clinch but Jenkins pushes him off.

Koscheck is trying to trip Jenkins. He has hold of a leg but Jenkins is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Koscheck persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Koscheck in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Koscheck throws an elbow that misses. Jenkins uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Koscheck's guard. Nice move by Jenkins!

Koscheck has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Jenkins is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Koscheck.

Koscheck tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Jenkins wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Koscheck is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.

The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jeff Koscheck showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Koscheck moves in looking to clinch but Jenkins pushes him off.
Koscheck is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Jenkins circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jenkins throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Koscheck clinches.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Jenkins gets to his feet - Koscheck follows without any prompting.

Koscheck tries to close the distance and clinch but Jenkins swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Koscheck clinches up with Jenkins and pushes him back against the ropes.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Koscheck will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Jenkins up against the ropes.

Koscheck is looking to sinch up a triangle. Jenkins throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Koscheck's body to avoid the submission. Koscheck has instead reached around Jenkins's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Koscheck arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:26 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Jeff Koscheck!
A less than humble Jeff Koscheck misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
