Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Reece Edward Duenas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dirt McGirk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Duenas comes to the cage accompanied by California Gurls. McGirk is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: This Is Who I Am . Dirt McGirk struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGirk misses with a combination
enabling Duenas to counter with a crisp jab.

McGirk has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Duenas finds it's way round the side to connect with McGirk's head.

McGirk displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Duenas throws out the jab.

McGirk swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Dirt McGirk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McGirk lands a two punch combo.

Duenas has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Duenas tries to score with some ground and pound. McGirk controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

Duenas is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and McGirk defends well.
McGirk would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Duenas manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. McGirk manages to get himself to full guard.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Duenas stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGirk swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McGirk is squirming around, avoiding Duenas's attempts to control the action.
