Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, James Jalke!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Seth Taylor!
The judges for this bout are Paul Gruel, Jeff Smith and Colin Fray.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taylor misses with a series of wild punches.
Jalke tries to score a power double leg takedown but Taylor sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jalke somewhat.
Taylor throws a head kick that misses.

Jalke clinches.
Jalke is trying to break the clinch but Taylor is controlling him.
Taylor managing to block the knees to the body from Jalke.
Taylor is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Taylor pulls guard.
Taylor avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.

Taylor is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Jalke jumps into guard, dragging Taylor to the mat.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Jalke keeping moving, preventing Taylor from controlling successfully.
Jalke is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Taylor wanted to stand there but Jalke had control of the position.
Taylor wants to control from the top but Jalke keeps moving.
Taylor stands and throws Jalke's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Jalke is not content to let Taylor control the position.
Taylor creates a bit of distance and throws down some hard shots.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Jalke wants to get back to his feet.
You can see the frustration on Jalke's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Taylor gets to mount! Jalke was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Jalke manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Taylor works his way into side control.
Jalke is looking to regain half guard here but Taylor keeps moving and retains side control.

Taylor decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jalke to his feet.
Taylor closes the distance and clinches up with Jalke, looking for a takedown. Taylor pushes Jalke against the cage but Jalke circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nice sprawl there from Taylor as Jalke shoots in.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Jalke. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Jalke is breathing heavily.
Jalke tries to clinch up but Taylor circles away and keeps his distance.
Taylor looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Jalke is fending him off so far but Taylor persists. Nope, Jalke circles away and we're back to standing.
Jalke fails with a takedown attempt.
Some wild striking there from Taylor.
Jalke stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Jalke wants it to stay on the feet.

Jalke fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Taylor checks it well.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Taylor.
Jalke fails with the takedown.
Taylor pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Jalke shoots for a double leg takedown but Taylor sprawls well. He's pushed Jalke's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Taylor fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Jalke, pushing him back against the cage.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jalke working aggressively here.
Taylor gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Jalke.
Jalke is trying to break free.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Seth Taylor dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!



Taylor shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.
Jalke wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Taylor.
Taylor fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Taylor content just to control the position here.

Taylor jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Jalke manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Taylor is looking to take a break and control but Jalke is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Taylor. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Jalke tries to bench press Taylor off him but Taylor keeps the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Taylor tries to score with some ground and pound. Jalke controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Jalke is trying to control Taylor's posture but Taylor avoids it.

Taylor has hold of Jalke's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Jalke seems comfortable defending it but Taylor has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Jalke is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Jalke is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Taylor couldn't care less - he's delighted!
