Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Robbie Robertson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
12 - 18 - 0, fighting out of London, Hakeem Jabbar!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jabbar.
Robertson just misses with a punch to the body.
Jabbar darts in trying to clinch
and Robertson counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Jabbar shoots in but Robertson avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Some bone on bone action there as Jabbar checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Robertson pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Jabbar.
Robbie Robertson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hakeem Jabbar.
Robertson dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Jabbar looks winded!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Robertson feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Jabbar sprawling to the canvas! Jabbar rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Robertson finish him?!
Jabbar is rocked!
It looks like Hakeem Jabbar has been cut.
Robertson lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Jabbar at a distance.
Jabbar is still on wobbly legs! Can Robertson finish him?
Robertson dances in with a quick combination. Jabbar is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Robertson snaps Jabbar's head back. Jabbar stumbles backwards against the cage. Robertson steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Jabbar's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Jabbar just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Robbie Robertson!
