Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksandr Martynov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tuhoaja drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Tuhoaja tries for a kimura but Karaev is defending well.
Tuhoaja wants to lay and pray for a moment but Karaev keeps working.
Tuhoaja wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Karaev, who protects the arm well.
Karaev tries to buck Tuhoaja off but Tuhoaja is having none of it.
Tuhoaja goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Karaev rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Tuhoaja's guard! Nice work there by Karaev!

Karaev wants to pass to mount but Tuhoaja is defending the position.
Tuhoaja tries to roll over but Karaev keeps him under control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Karaev working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Tuhoaja's thigh. Tuhoaja counters though and makes it back to full guard.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Karaev tries to free his leg and advance position but Tuhoaja is retaining full guard.
Tuhoaja manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Karaev manages to get himself to full guard.
Karaev looking for a guillotine here but Tuhoaja defends easily.
Karaev is breathing heavily.
Tuhoaja drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Tuhoaja jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Tuhoaja thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Karaev controls Tuhoaja momentarily but Tuhoaja frees himself.
Tuhoaja slips nicely into half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Tuhoaja not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Karaev is looking for a sweep. Tuhoaja is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Tuhoaja wants to control but Karaev is keeping him busy.
Tuhoaja in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Karaev tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Tuhoaja!
