And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Cameron Clark!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Wesley Smith and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Clark throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Clark lands a leg kick that knocks Penn off balance momentarily.
Clark throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Penn keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Penn swings for the body but Clark moves out of range.

and Clark counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Cameron Clark seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Clark lands a nice shot that snaps Penn's head back.
Clark tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Penn manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Clark attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.
Penn swings for the body but Clark moves out of range.

Clark ducks right into an uppercut from Penn.

Penn tries for a takedown but Clark sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Cameron Clark is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

and Penn counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Penn wants to hit a switch here but Clark passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Penn there!

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Clark uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Penn.

Penn shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Clark as he avoids it easily.

It looks like DJ Penn has been cut.

Clark keeps control of Penn as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Penn tries to work over Clark's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Clark scores with a shot to the side of Penn's head.
Penn fails to pull guard.

Cameron Clark seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.

Clark pushes Penn against the cage. Clark is working some dirty boxing. Clark pushes off with a quick right hook! Penn goes down! Penn tries to stand but stumbles back to his kness! Clark moves in to finish and the ref steps in to prevent any more damage!

After winning the bout, Cameron Clark thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
