The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Albert Achterberg and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Vartanov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Kurek takes one to the chin there.
It looks like Michal Kurek has been cut.
Vartanov gets caught flat footed, as Kurek shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Vartanov utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Kurek trying to control the position from guard on top but Vartanov is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Kurek jumps into guard, dragging Vartanov to the mat.

Vartanov trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.

Vartanov uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Kurek has time to react.
Oooooh!!! Vartanov has knocked Kurek down with a huge combo! Vartanov steps away and waves a wobbly Kurek back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Vartanov tries to kick Kurek off but Kurek keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Vartanov cracks Kurek with a good jab.
Vartanov scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Kurek shoots in for a double leg but Vartanov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Kurek wants to clinch.
Vartanov fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kurek checks it well.
Kurek is looking to clinch but Vartanov is avoiding it.
Kurek fails in his attempt to clinch.
Vartanov shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kurek eats them both and turns towards Vartanov to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Kurek wants to clinch up but Vartanov keeps it at a distance.
Kurek shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Kurek fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Zhorik Vartanov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Michal Kurek.
Kurek is breathing heavily.

Vartanov lands a left and a right that send Kurek crashing to the mat, dazed. Vartanov thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Kurek ducks into an uppercut from Vartanov and that's knocked him out cold! This one is all over!
