The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Donk. Steele catches Pudzianowska right on the button with a cross.

Steele gets caught flat footed, as Pudzianowska shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Steele had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Pudzianowska defends it easily.
Pudzianowska pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Steele is keeping the position for now.

Steele working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Pudzianowska doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Pudzianowska manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Pudzianowska got a little sloppy there for a moment and Steele has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Pudzianowska has managed to get both his arms back between Steele's legs - danger averted.
Pudzianowska knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Steele on the ground.

Steele is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Pudzianowska is aware though and is defending well.

Steele escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Pudzianowska gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Steele is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Pudzianowska defends well.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Steele has his foot on Pudzianowska's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pudzianowska works his way back into a safe position though.

Pudzianowska is sitting in close to Steele's body. Steele has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Pudzianowska is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Pudzianowska is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Steele.
