Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jose Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Holden James (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). James comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Aerials kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James throws a good cross that connects.
A head kick misses from James.

James looks to land a body kick but Silva moved away.
Silva moves into the clinch.

Silva dodges an elbow strike from James.

Silva uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from James.
Silva wants to clinch up but James keeps it at a distance.
Silva stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Silva tries to clinch there but James circles away.
Silva bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Silva closes the distance and clinches.
James on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Silva chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before James can pounce on him.
Jose Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva takes a swing at James's ribcage but misses.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but James swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Silva scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Silva misses with a low kick.
Silva throws a leg kick but James sees it coming and checks it nicely.
James throws a hook but Silva avoids it easily.
James tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
James ducks right into an uppercut from Silva.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Silva looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Silva misses with a kick to the body.

James takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Silva tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and James counters with a head kick.
Silva wants to clinch up but James keeps it at a distance.
Silva bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps James's head backwards.
Nice defenses there by Silva.
James is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Silva.
Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. James manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

James prevents Silva from breaking the clinch.
Silva works on James's body with a couple of short punches.
James blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.

It looks like Jose Silva has been cut.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Silva takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Silva creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.

James lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Silva backwards.
Silva comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Silva tries to throw a body punch but James avoids it by throwing Silva back against the cage.

Silva breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Silva tries to land a front kick but James steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Silva wants to land a leg kick but James is out of range.
Silva changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Silva throws a one two combo.
James blocks the body kick.
Silva drops his hands momentarily and James takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
James's corner calls for a 1-2. James obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
James misses with a looping right.
Silva misses with a body kick.
Silva throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Silva tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but James was well out of range. Poor timing from Silva.
Ohhhhh! A huge head kick from James! Silva is out on his feet! James rushes in and throws more strikes. The ref is looking closely - Silva is covering up but the punishment is just too much and the ref steps in to stop the fight! Silva is staring into space, just thankful that the beatdown has ended. Brutal finish.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Holden James!
Holden James decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
