Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Balboa Dan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Aaron Lancing (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Balboa Dan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Aaron Lancing!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Lancing fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Dan stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Dan escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Dan shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lancing as he jumps to the side.
Lancing fails to land the takedown.
Lancing looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dan.

Dan shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Lancing is trying to defend but Dan finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Dan in particular looking to stall.
Dan wants to control but Lancing is keeping him busy.
Lancing is looking to control Dan's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Lancing avoid being mounted?

Balboa Dan has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.

Dan tries to clinch there but Lancing circles away.
Lancing shoots in for a takedown but Dan shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Dan just misses with a punch to the body.
No luck for Lancing with that takedown attempt.

Lancing fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Dan shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Lancing defends it nicely.
Dan throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Lancing's waist but Lancing gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Dan off to one side.

Lancing doesn't manage to clinch there - Dan circles away.
Lancing wants to clinch up but Dan keeps it at a distance.
Dan shoots in but Lancing avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Dan closes this distance looking for a takedown but Lancing circles away.
Dan takes a kick to the side of the head.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lancing pushes Dan up against the cage in a clinch.
Dan has had enough of the clinch but Lancing keeps him there for the moment.

That was a close round but I would say that Balboa Dan will probably get the nod.

Lancing throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Dan was covering up waiting for the punch and Lancing finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Lancing keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Dan's head.
Dan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lancing decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Dan stuffs the takedown attempt from Lancing. Lancing gets slowly back to his feet.

Lancing tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Dan swivels and escapes.
Lancing shoots in and drives through. Dan sprawls well.
Balboa Dan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Aaron Lancing.

Dan drives through and clinches with Lancing against the cage.

Dan pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lancing avoids a strike by Dan and manages to complete a very nice reversal in the process, to end up in Dan's guard! Fantastic escape!

Dan is in trouble now - Lancing has advanced to mount!
Lancing pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Lancing has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Dan shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lancing eats them both and turns towards Dan to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Dan stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Lancing.
Balboa Dan is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Horrible takedown by Dan or perhaps it was just good defense by Lancing which made him look bad.

Lancing closes the distance and clinches.
Lancing lands with a left to the head.
A frustrated look appears on Lancing's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Dan is trying to force a seperation but Lancing has the dominant position.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Dan as Lancing tries to tie him up.

Lancing successfully pulls guard.
Dan wants to control from the top but Lancing keeps moving.
Dan stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Lancing swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Lancing throwing some rather feeble looking strikes off his back.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Aaron Lancing comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Lancing has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
