Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between James VIck (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Erwin Schrodinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, James VIck! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Erwin Schrodinger! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, David Schapiro and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Schrodinger shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says VIck as he avoids it easily. VIck looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! VIck gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard. Schrodinger stands and steps away. VIck gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Schrodinger fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but VIck avoids it really well and circles away. Schrodinger wants to clinch up but VIck keeps it at a distance. Schrodinger closes this distance looking for a takedown but VIck circles away. James VIck has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Erwin Schrodinger. No luck for Schrodinger with that takedown attempt. Schrodinger throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around VIck's waist but VIck gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Schrodinger off to one side. Schrodinger fails with an attempt to clinch.
Schrodinger closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Schrodinger takes a little break here. VIck wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Schrodinger cracks VIck with a big right hand but VIck just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Schrodinger has an Americana. VIck didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Schrodinger is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Schrodinger hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Erwin Schrodinger! Our winner, Erwin Schrodinger, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
