Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kaname Tosen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Borin Chim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Borin Chim will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kaname Tosen! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Borin Chim! The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Daniel Franklin and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tosen throws a hook to the side of Chim's head but Chim sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Chim moves out of range of the body kick from Tosen.
Tosen shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Chim avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. Tosen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Tosen controlling from the top position. Chim trying to control the position.
Tosen trying to control but Chim is working from the bottom. Tosen slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kaname Tosen. Chim lands a head kick. Tosen smiles back at him and beckons him forward. Chim throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land. Nice uppercut lands for Chim. That snapped Tosen's head back.

Tosen shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Chim as he avoids it easily. Chim misses with a hook. Tosen takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh. Tosen tries to land a leg kick but Chim saw it coming and moves away.

Chim misses with a low kick. Tosen scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Chim steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Tosen. Tosen misses with a takedown attempt - Chim sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. Tosen throws a front kick aimed at Chim's knee but Chim avoids it well. Tosen drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard. Tosen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Chim works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Tosen postures up.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Tosen's corner. There ya go! There ya go! Chim working a defensive guard here.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Tosen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Chim working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tosen doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tosen manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Chim is trying to control the position but Tosen postures up. Tosen is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Chim really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Tosen. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Chim looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tosen wants to control from the top but Chim keeps moving. It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup. Tosen works over Chim with some ground and pound from guard. Tosen controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Tosen advances to half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chim keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Tosen throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Tosen lands with a punch from half guard. Tosen scores with a couple of good hammerfists. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kaname Tosen dominated that round. That's time! Tosen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Chim throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Chim lands with a kick to the ribs.
An inside leg kick lands from Chim. Chim lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Tosen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Tosen throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Chim sees it coming and avoids it easily. Chim takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Tosen tries to close the distance and clinch up but Chim swats him away and circles back towards the center. Tosen throws a half hearted mid kick. A low kick from Tosen is predictable there and Chim counters with a head kick. That will keep Tosen thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks! Tosen throws a low kick but Chim avoids it. Chim connects with a jab. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jab by Chim. Tosen shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Chim lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tosen closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Tosen is trying to break the clinch but Chim is controlling him. The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch. Tosen tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked. Tosen just leaning against Chim, taking a breather. Chim is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Tosen is keeping busy. Tosen on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round. Chim throws a leg kick which misses Tosen's front leg but catches the back leg as Tosen tries to avoid it. Chim feints and then cracks Tosen's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Tosen down. A clash of legs there as Chim blocks the low kick. Tosen tries to land a leg kick but Chim saw it coming and moves away.
Tosen is looking to clinch. Chim scores with a punch to the head. Tosen shoots in looking for a takedown but Chim manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Tosen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kaname Tosen. That's going to take a lot out of him. Tosen throws a low kick but Chim moves out of range easily. Tosen has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Chim. Tosen throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tosen goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Tosen has managed to clinch.
Chim is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Tosen is keeping busy.

Tosen tries to work over Chim's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Tosen blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Chim tries to land a knee to the head but Tosen blocks with his arms.

Borin Chim showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!
