Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Titus Overeem (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Baron (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Titus Overeem has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Titus Overeem! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Robert Baron! The judges for this bout are Patrick Alders, Albert Achterberg and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Baron shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Overeem manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. Overeem looking to control.
Baron is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Overeem is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Overeem has escaped and now he's on top! Overeem content to stall in guard here. Baron looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Baron controls Overeem momentarily but Overeem frees himself. Baron keeping moving, preventing Overeem from controlling successfully. Overeem has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
That's one minute gone in the round. Baron looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Titus Overeem. Baron with a lazy takedown attempt and Overeem counters with a nice body kick. Baron shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Overeem as he avoids it easily. Baron fails to land the takedown. Titus Overeem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Baron. Baron will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Overeem gets caught flat footed, as Baron shoots in with a quick takedown into guard. Baron drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Overeem dives on top into guard. Baron throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Overeem avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Overeem stopping the sweep attempt from Baron. Overeem gets to his feet. Baron looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son! A telegraphed right hand from Overeem misses the target. Overeem lands a big head kick that sends Baron tumbling to the mat! Overeem takes a step backwards and waves Baron back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Robert Baron has been cut. Baron throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Overeem's waist but Overeem gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Baron off to one side. Overeem lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Baron circles away quickly and effectively. Baron is trying hard to land a takedown here. Overeem sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Nice takedown defense from Overeem. No joy for Baron on that attempt. Baron shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Overeem defends it nicely. Nice takedown defense from Overeem. Baron with a lazy takedown attempt and Overeem connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Baron looks winded! Overeem throws a sloppy head kick and Baron moves out of range easily. Overeem stuffs the takedown. Overeem stuffs the takedown attempt from Baron. Baron gets slowly back to his feet. Baron shoots and misses and Overeem counters with a head kick that drops Baron to the mat! Baron scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Baron avoids the head kick by Overeem.
Baron shoots in for a double leg but Overeem sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Baron dodges the punch combination from Overeem.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Overeem lands a big head kick that sends Baron tumbling to the mat! Overeem takes a step backwards and waves Baron back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Baron is rocked! The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Overeem throws a body kick that misses. Baron shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Overeem as he avoids it easily. Baron closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Baron lands in his opponent's guard. Overeem looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Baron drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Overeem manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Baron has Overeem in his guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Baron working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Overeem doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Overeem manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Titus Overeem dominated that round. The cut man is working on Robert Baron's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Overeem throws a head kick but Baron moves out of range.
Baron looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Overeem is fending him off so far but Baron persists. Nope, Overeem circles away and we're back to standing. Titus Overeem is winning the standup battle so far. Baron avoids a punch combination nicely.
Baron shoots in looking for a takedown but Overeem manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Baron's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Overeem throws a low kick but Baron avoids it. Overeem misses with a head kick.
Baron dives in and grabs Overeem's left leg, looking for a takedown. Overeem pushes down on Baron's head and hops out. Titus Overeem has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Robert Baron. Overeem throws a series of punches but Baron avoids them all with ease. Baron moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. The fighters circling - Overeem throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Baron feints and as Overeem raises his hands in defense, Baron changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Baron passes easily into side control. Nice work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Overeem struggling a bit here. Baron wants to control but Overeem is keeping him busy. Baron tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Baron has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Overeem is looking for a sweep. Baron is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Overeem knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Baron swings around for an armbar but Overeem sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Baron's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Overeem is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Baron is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Overeem rolls with it to try and escape but Baron cranks on the arm and Overeem is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
