Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Vladmir Volchenkov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan DANA (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Viktor Lagutenko and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Volchenkov feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

and Volchenkov counters with a nice double leg into guard.
DANA is striking from the bottom but Volchenkov uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

DANA is refusing to be controlled, as Volchenkov sits in half guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

DANA is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Volchenkov gets his way!

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
DANA is really stuck here.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Volchenkov tries a head kick but it misses.
DANA just misses with a punch to the body.

and DANA moves into the clinch.
Volchenkov throws a knee to the head but misses.
DANA goes for a takedown in the clinch but Volchenkov prevents it.

DANA drives through and clinches with Volchenkov against the cage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Volchenkov tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. DANA smiles and moves away.

DANA tries to land knees in the clinch but Volchenkov avoids the damage to the body.

Volchenkov is looking to control DANA's arms but DANA gets an underhook and turns him. Now Volchenkov has his back to the cage.
DANA tries a knee to the head but Volchenkov blocks it.

DANA shoots in looking for a takedown. Volchenkov tries to sprawl out of it but DANA keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Volchenkov manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
DANA stuffs the takedown.
DANA swats away the attempt to clinch by Volchenkov.
DANA shoots in but Volchenkov avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Volchenkov has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. DANA is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

DANA is pressed up against the cage. Volchenkov has hold of a leg and is looking to drag DANA down to the mat. DANA avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

Volchenkov ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Volchenkov no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

DANA really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Volchenkov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Volchenkov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck DANA on the side of the head.
