Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jeff Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bjorn Lannister (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Bjorn Lannister struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 156.3lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Jeff Chan has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bjorn Lannister!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Elvis Blanc and Gregory Folan.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chan doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Lannister counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Chan gets back to full guard.
Lannister stopping the sweep attempt from Chan.
Lannister tries to free his leg and advance position but Chan is retaining full guard.
Chan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Chan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Lannister on the ground.

Chan is looking to control Lannister's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Chan avoid being mounted?
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lannister in particular looking to stall.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Lannister manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Chan is looking to improve his position but Lannister isn't that keen on the idea.
Lannister moves to back control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

You can see the frustration on Chan's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.

Chan is trying to defend against the choke here but Lannister has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Lannister Tightens the hold and Chan taps out furiously! Lannister displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
