Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Tanner Holiday!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Jamie Spaseski!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Skip Squint and Summer Carpenter.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holiday stuffs the takedown.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Holiday.

Spaseski shoots in and gets a takedown into Holiday's guard.
Spaseski wanted to stand there but Holiday had control of the position.
Spaseski with a flurry of punches that miss.

Holiday has his foot on Spaseski's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Spaseski works his way back into a safe position though.

Holiday working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Spaseski doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Spaseski manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Spaseski postures up in Holiday's guard and throws a big left but Holiday blocks it.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Holiday is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Holiday is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Spaseski defends well.

Spaseski is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Spaseski content to stall in guard here.

Holiday is looking for a triangle but Spaseski pushes his legs off easily.
Spaseski controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

Holiday looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Spaseski passes into half guard.
Spaseski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Holiday. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Holiday looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Spaseski seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Holiday wants to control but Spaseski is keeping busy.
Spaseski is looking to take a break and control but Holiday is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Holiday makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Holiday.

Spaseski trying to control but Holiday is working from the bottom.

Spaseski has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Holiday to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Spaseski is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Holiday pulls down on the head and he's put Spaseski to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Tanner Holiday!
A very excited looking Tanner Holiday rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
