Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Satso Chan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teddy Grom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Sosuke Kotani.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Grom throws a right and a left that Chan avoids nicely.
Chan shoots in for a takedown but Grom shows good takedown defense.
Chan fails to land the takedown.
Grom throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Grom swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Chan looking to score a takedown here. Grom is defending well but Chan drives through and ends up in Grom's guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Chan postures up in Grom's guard and throws a big left but Grom blocks it.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Grom can do anything to dispel that myth.
Grom wants to get back to his feet but Chan is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Chan drops back looking for a leg! Grom is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Grom manages to kick Chan off! Chan jumps back into Grom's guard.
Chan pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Grom is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Chan drops back looking for a leg! Grom is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Grom manages to kick Chan off! Chan jumps back into Grom's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chan throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.

Chan is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Grom looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Chan scores with a decent looking elbow strike.

Chan drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Chan jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Chan is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Grom is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
