Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Spox Beard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Josie Marquez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beard comes to the cage accompanied by Spock's Beard - The Great Nothing. Marquez has chosen the most annoying Mexican polka music you have heard in your life as his entrance music. Spox Beard had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

9 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Spox Beard!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Josie Marquez!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Paulo Santos and Felipe Paraventi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Beard looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Marquez lands a right hook to the body.
Marquez cracks Beard with an open hand slap.
Beard misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Spox Beard seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Beard misses with a low kick.
Marquez tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Marquez swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Beard throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Marquez's head.
It looks like Josie Marquez has been cut.
Marquez lands a nice shot that snaps Beard's head back.
Marquez avoids the head kick by Beard.
Beard misses with a head kick.
Beard checks a low kick from Marquez.
Marquez jabs Beard to the body, keeping him at a distance.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Beard tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Marquez manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Marquez misses with the combination.
Marquez misses with an uppercut. Beard saw that one coming.
Marquez misses with a few strikes there.
A jab from Marquez misses.
Beard tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Marquez comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
A head kick misses from Beard.
Marquez scores with a jab to the jaw.
Marquez looks to land a combination. Beard sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Marquez on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Beard. Beard obviously looking to wear him down.
Beard throws a leg kick which misses Marquez's front leg but catches the back leg as Marquez tries to avoid it.
Beard gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Beard is rocked!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Beard tries a head kick but it misses.
Oh Beard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Beard takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Marquez steps in with a hook that catches Beard right on the chin and knocks him to the floor! Marquez follows him down with more strikes and that's all she wrote! Beard looks absolutely devastated.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Josie Marquez!
