Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dan Dar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Robert Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Drago has chosen Lateralus as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Robert Drago! The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Roger Salmon and Paul Gruel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Dar. Drago stuffs the takedown. Dar misses with a takedown attempt - Drago sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Dar. That's going to take a lot out of him. Drago throws a lazy head kick and Dar moves into the clinch. A frustrated look appears on Drago's face as he tries to break the clinch. Dar looks for a takedown but Drago sprawls well. Drago stuffs the takedown. Drago tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Dar manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Drago misses with a head kick.

Drago tries to clinch but Dar is having none of it. Dar shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Drago as he avoids it easily. Drago tries a head kick but it misses.

Drago manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dar shoots in looking for a takedown but Drago manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dar's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Drago throws a head kick that misses and Dar counters with a three punch combo that has Drago backing up. Drago nods at Dar to acknowledge the strikes. Drago misses with a head kick.
Drago stuffs the takedown attempt from Dar. Dar gets slowly back to his feet. Drago is looking to clinch but Dar is avoiding it.

and Dar counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Drago thinking. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Drago throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Dar moves into the clinch. Drago is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Dar to keep the fight standing. Dar tries for a takedown. No joy.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Drago tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Drago moves in looking to clinch but Dar pushes him off. Dan Dar is winning the standup battle so far. Drago sizes up Dar with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Dar blocks a head kick by Drago.

Dan Dar dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Dar pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Dar jabs Drago to the body, keeping him at a distance. Drago tries to keep at a distance but Dar has taken the fight into the clinch. Drago is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Dar pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Drago wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Dar has him pressed against the cage. Dar pulls guard. Dar wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Dar has a closed guard, preventing Drago from standing up. Dar manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Drago manages to get himself to full guard.
Dar working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Dar advances to half guard. Drago pushes Dar off looking to stand but Dar dives back in and keeps control.
Dar is working for a kimura but Drago is defending it quite comfortably.
Dar is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Drago sees it coming and defends easily. Drago really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Dar. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Dar passes to side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Drago on the wrong end of some ground and pound.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Drago tries to buck Dar off but Dar is having none of it. Dar controls the position. Dar moves into full mount! Dar content just to control the position here. Drago wants to control but Dar is having none of it. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Drago wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
Dar thuds his fist into the canvas! Oooouch!
Dar sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Dar stands up from the dominant position, so we're back on the feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. A slapping body kick lands there for Dar.
And that's the end of the fight! Dan Dar showed his dominance in that final round. Well Dar has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
