Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Diederik Carolus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Diego Martinez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Edson Gomes and Mauricio Rocha.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martinez tries to clinch up but Carolus circles away and keeps his distance.
Martinez defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Carolus.
Carolus tries to score a power double leg takedown but Martinez sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Carolus somewhat.
Carolus gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Martinez wanted to stand there but Carolus had control of the position.
Martinez stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Carolus swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Carolus escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Martinez gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Martinez got a little sloppy there for a moment and Carolus has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Martinez has managed to get both his arms back between Carolus's legs - danger averted.

Diego Martinez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Martinez has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
