Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bryan Wood (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Freddy Zalapdos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bryan Wood! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Freddy Zalapdos! The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Gwen Towbar and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! A telegraphed takedown attempt from Zalapdos is defended easily by Wood. Wood avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Zalapdos dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Wood. That did some damage! Wood takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Wood closes the distance and clinches up with Zalapdos, looking for a takedown. Wood pushes Zalapdos against the cage but Zalapdos circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Wood gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Zalapdos counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt. Zalapdos tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Wood paws at him with a jab and circles away. Zalapdos changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wood tries to avoid it but Zalapdos manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wood to the ground. Wood escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Wood throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Zalapdos tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Wood is in Zalapdos's guard. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Wood stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Zalapdos swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Zalapdos escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Wood gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Wood seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Wood pushes down on Zalapdos's leg and manages to get into half guard. Zalapdos tries to kick Wood off but Wood keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Wood is trying to work for a kimura but Zalapdos is defending well.
Wood performing his best blanket impression for a moment. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wood's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
Bryan Wood has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet. Zalapdos shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Wood counters with a nice double leg into side control. Zalapdos won't be happy with that. Bryan Wood has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Freddy Zalapdos. This has been an exciting period of action! Wood passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Zalapdos! Wood controlling from the full mount.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Bryan Wood wasn't doing enough on the ground. Zalapdos throws a nice looking combination but Wood bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Zalapdos throws a head kick but Wood moves out of range.
Zalapdos is looking to clinch but Wood is avoiding it.
Wood tries to sprawl but Zalapdos drives through with a takedown into half guard. Zalapdos looks gassed! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Wood is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Zalapdos's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Zalapdos's back! Wood working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Zalapdos is doing well to defend. Wood seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Zalapdos is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Bryan Wood! Bryan Wood decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
