Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Eric Dudley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, John Anderson ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Eric Dudley! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Roger Salmon and Josh West.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Anderson darts in trying to clinch and Dudley decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Anderson 's guard. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet. Dudley controlling from the top position. Dudley with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Dudley prevents Anderson from getting back to his feet. Dudley controls from within his opponent's guard. Dudley won't allow Anderson to get back to his feet. The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Eric Dudley wasn't active enough on the ground. Dudley shoots in looking for a takedown but Anderson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Dudley's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Dudley drives through with a takedown into guard. Anderson trying to strike off his back.
Dudley's corner is telling him to maintain position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Dudley is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Eric Dudley hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Anderson stuffs the takedown. Dudley stuffs the takedown attempt from Anderson . Anderson gets slowly back to his feet. Anderson tries to clinch up and Dudley counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Anderson is breathing heavily. Anderson has hold of Dudley's hands but Dudley slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dudley wants to lay and pray for a moment but Anderson keeps working. Dudley is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Anderson sees it coming and defends easily. Anderson wants to get back to his feet. Dudley decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet. Anderson tries to grapple but his opponent circles so Dudley counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Anderson is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Dudley is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact. Dudley stands and steps away. Anderson gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Dudley darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Anderson tries to kick Dudley off but Dudley keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Dudley is nestled in close to Anderson , controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Dudley performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Anderson is staying active underneath Dudley, who seems content to just control the action from this position. Anderson is trying to stand back up but Dudley is controlling him
Anderson is refusing to be controlled, as Dudley sits in half guard. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Eric Dudley has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Dudley fails with a takedown attempt. John Anderson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eric Dudley. Anderson throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Anderson wants to clinch but Dudley slips to the side and Dudley counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Dudley. This has been an exciting period of action! Anderson is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Dudley dives into side control.
Anderson might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Dudley decides to stand back up. Dudley steps back and let's Anderson get back to his feet. Dudley dives in and grabs Anderson 's left leg, looking for a takedown. Anderson pushes down on Dudley's head and hops out. Dudley circles away from the clinch attempt and Dudley counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Anderson keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Anderson pushes Dudley off looking to stand but Dudley dives back in and keeps control.
Dudley works his way into side control. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Eric Dudley dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Dudley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Anderson 's guard. Dudley sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Anderson 's guard. Dudley trying to mount his opponent but Anderson defends it. Anderson has hold of Dudley's hands but Dudley slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Anderson trying to hold on to Dudley's head to control him but Dudley postures up.
Dudley wants to take a breather but Anderson is having none of it. Anderson misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Dudley gets to his feet - back to striking we go! Anderson tries to clinch and Dudley counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Dudley is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Anderson sees it coming and defends easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Dudley is controlling the pace.
That's one minute gone in the round. Anderson looks like he's trying to stand up.
Anderson slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work. Anderson keeping moving, preventing Dudley from controlling successfully. Anderson wants to stand and escape but Dudley is having none of it. Dudley is standing up over Anderson . Anderson looks to escape but Dudley dives into side control.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Dudley trying to control the action but Anderson is working from the bottom. Anderson taking a bit of punishment here - Dudley scoring with strikes. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Dudley is working to tighten is grip on Anderson 's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Anderson has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Dudley is really squeezing tight and eventually Anderson passes out! Dudley breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
