Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Giovani Castro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Leroy Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Leroy Lewis is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Giovani Castro! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Leroy Lewis! The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, William Peck and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lewis keeps the fight on the outside. Lewis moves out of range as Castro throws a body kick.
Castro throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Castro scores with a nice body kick.
Castro pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Castro looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. Castro looking to throw a kick but he's pulled out of it. The fight moves into the clinch position. Castro tries a knee to the head but Lewis blocks it.
Lewis breaks from the clinch.
Castro throws a sloppy head kick and Lewis moves out of range easily. Nice body kick there by Castro. Giovani Castro seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Lewis shoots in and drives through. Castro sprawls well. Lewis looks gassed! Castro lands a high kick!
It looks like Leroy Lewis has been cut. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Nice body kick from Castro.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis scores with a takedown into Castro's guard. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Castro working a defensive guard here.
Lewis won't allow Castro to get back to his feet. Castro is trying to keep Lewis in close.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Giovani Castro. Lewis is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Castro's half guard. Castro is refusing to be controlled, as Lewis sits in half guard. Lewis working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Castro's thigh. Castro counters though and makes it back to full guard. Lewis is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control. Castro working a defensive guard here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis with a flurry of punches that miss. Lewis slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Lewis throws a big elbow that misses. Castro wants to stand and escape but Lewis is having none of it.
Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Lewis moves out of range of the body kick.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Castro misses with a head kick.
Castro connects with a high kick. Castro throws a body kick that misses. Lewis scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Lewis passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Castro! Lewis has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Castro's face.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lewis has control of Castro's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Castro regains control of the situation pretty easily.

A close round but Leroy Lewis will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on Leroy Lewis's cut. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Lewis throws a half hearted mid kick. Castro lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Lewis circles away quickly and effectively. Castro misses with a kick to the body.
Lewis closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Lewis passes into side control, despite Castro's attempt to control the position.
Castro is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Lewis trying to control the position but Castro is working away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis in side control lands a decent elbow. Lewis tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Castro manages to get back to half guard. Lewis thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Lewis landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Lewis is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Castro taking some punishment here, with Lewis in his half guard. Lewis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Lewis lands with a punch from half guard. Lewis controlling the pace.
That's two minutes gone in the round. This has been an exciting period of action! Lewis's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige. Lewis works his way into full mount! Castro is trying to stand up.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis lands a heavy elbow. Castro trying desperately to get to his feet.
Castro is in a horrible position here. Lewis smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Lewis pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Lewis landing strikes from the mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lewis controlling the position easily from mount. Lewis wants to finish this one by submission but Castro is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Lewis.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The referee warns Castro that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Lewis is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Castro to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Castro shrugs it off. Castro takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lewis lands a big shot there that rocks Castro but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Lewis connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Lewis tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Leroy Lewis showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The cut man is working on Leroy Lewis's cut. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! And we move into the final round!
Castro tries to land a front kick but Lewis steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed. Castro throws a leg kick that misses. Castro goes for a spinning back kick but it misses. Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Castro. Castro tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Castro throws a head kick but Lewis moves out of range.
Castro gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Lewis to score an easy takedown into full guard. Lewis missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Lewis cracks Castro with a solid left hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lewis is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Castro looking to control but Lewis passes into half guard.
Lewis controlling the pace. Castro might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Leroy Lewis was stalling too much, according to the referee. Lewis closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Castro to the mat! Castro manages to get full guard. Lewis is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there. Lewis stands and throws Castro's legs to the side, diving into side control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lewis thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Castro takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
Lewis lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face. Lewis working the ground and pound from side control. Castro can't do much from the bottom here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Lewis landing with strikes to the head and body from side control. Giovani Castro has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Lewis working the head with strikes. Lewis controlling the position from side mount. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Lewis scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Castro to see if he's OK.
And that's the end of the fight! Leroy Lewis comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I've got Lewis winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
