The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Konstantin Menshow and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Andersen lands a big head kick that sends Popovich tumbling to the mat! Andersen takes a step backwards and waves Popovich back to his feet - he wants the finish!
Popovich is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Andersen dances in with a quick combination. Popovich is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Andersen snaps Popovich's head back. Popovich stumbles backwards against the cage. Andersen steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Popovich's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Popovich just didn't come prepared.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jon Erik Andersen!
