Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Steve Smith and Elvis Blanc.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eckman with a poor takedown
and Howes counters with a takedown into side control.
Eckman wants to control but Howes postures up.
Eckman is looking to reverse the position.
Howes working away.
Eckman gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Howes is looking to take a break and control but Eckman is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Eckman won't allow Howes to pass to mount.
Howes trying to control the action but Eckman is working from the bottom.
Eckman is looking for a sweep. Howes is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Howes is looking to advance position but Eckman won't allow it.
Eckman tries to roll over but Howes keeps him under control.
Howes is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Howes is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Eckman is just riding it out for now. Howes eventually gives up the hold.
Howes wants to take a breather but Eckman is having none of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Eckman is looking to regain full guard. He's left an arm up in the air though and Howes has latched onto it... Big trouble! Howes pivots for an armbar - it's in tight and it Eckman is tapping in no time flat! Great counter grappling there from Howes!

Stephen Howes spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
