Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Augusto Frota! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Sizzling Seven! The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Dmitry Maklakov and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Seven fails to land the takedown. Frota looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this! Frota connects with an inside leg kick. Frota fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Frota shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Seven is trying to defend but Frota finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up. Frota thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Seven is controlling Frota's trapped leg to prevent Frota from advancing to side control. The fighters are battling for position here. Seven manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Frota has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Seven is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Frota postures up in Seven's guard and throws a big left but Seven blocks it. Frota missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frota won't allow Seven to sweep him here. Seven looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Seven looking for a sweep. Not yet Seven, not yet. Frota throws a big elbow that misses. Seven trying to control the position.

Seven is trying to keep Frota in close.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Seven is on top in guard.
Frota has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Frota trying to control the position.
Seven stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Frota swivels though and keeps the full guard. Seven forces his way into half guard. Seven not landing any meaningful shots this time.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seven content to sit in half guard and control for a moment. Seven thows a huge punch but Frota dodges it nicely.
Seven throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Seven seems to be working for a kimura but Frota defends the submission attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Seven misses with a head shot. Frota uses the momentum to regain guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Seven throws an elbow that misses. Frota uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Seven's guard. Nice move by Frota! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Seven tries to strike from the bottom.
Seven wants to sweep but no luck. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Seven trying to control the position.
Frota is fighting to break Seven's control of his arms but Seven is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Sizzling Seven dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Seven misses with a takedown attempt and Frota counters with a good low kick that Seven was not able to check. Frota keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Frota misses with a two punch combination.
Frota fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Seven sprawls well initially but Frota persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Seven makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Seven. Frota postures up in Seven's guard and throws a big left but Seven blocks it. Seven has control of Frota's left arm, preventing Frota from doing any damage. Seven is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Seven wants to sweep here but Frota controlling him for the moment. Seven escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Frota gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Frota postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect. Frota in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Seven lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Frota! Seven unloading with bombs! Seven lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Frota hang on?
That's two minutes gone in the round. Seven cracks Frota with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Seven throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Seven looking to control but Frota is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Seven lands a big shot there that rocks Frota but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A nice elbow there by Seven. Seven lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Seven has hold of Frota's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Frota manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Seven trying to control but Frota is having none of it. Frota could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Seven jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Frota manages to avoid the submission attempt. Seven swings around for an armbar but Frota sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Seven's guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Seven looking to hit a scissor sweep but Frota is one step ahead there. Frota is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Seven has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Frota is looking to defend but Seven has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Frota! Seven pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Frota taps out and this one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Sizzling Seven! Sizzling Seven bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
