And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Ivan Kurochkin and Vladimir Khabensky.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nigobson drives through with a takedown into Hammer's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
Nigobson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.
Nigobson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Nigobson is nestled in close to Hammer, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Nigobson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Nigobson passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Hammer!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hammer is bucking up trying to escape but Nigobson cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Hammer is rocked!
Nigobson loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Hammer scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Nigobson land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Nigobson stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Kert Nigobson!
After winning the bout, Kert Nigobson thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
