Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jean Cerien (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ivan Zhukov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Cerien comes into the arena with House of the rising sun blaring out of the sound system. Zhukov has chosen Feuer Frei as his entrance music. Ivan Zhukov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jean Cerien! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Zhukov! The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Zhukov looks to land a combination but Cerien avoids it well. Zhukov falls off balance throwing a combination
and Cerien counters with a straight punch to the midsection. Cerien gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here. With the fighters up against the cage, Cerien throws an elbow but misses. Cerien breaks from the clinch.
Cerien dodges the punch combination from Zhukov.
Zhukov throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Cerien counters with a takedown into side control. Cerien has knee on belly and moves into mount. Zhukov is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
This has been an exciting period of action! Cerien misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
Poor strikes thrown by Cerien there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Cerien throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

That's one minute gone in the round. Cerien with a couple of short strikes. Cerien jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Zhukov manages to avoid the submission attempt. Cerien is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Zhukov knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Cerien working the ground and pound. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. The strikes coming from Cerien are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Cerien cracks Zhukov with a big right hand but Zhukov just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Cerien tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. Cerien lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Zhukov down.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cerien wants to lay and pray for a moment but Zhukov keeps working. Zhukov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cerien. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cerien has hold of Zhukov's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Zhukov seems comfortable defending it but Cerien has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Zhukov is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Zhukov is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but Cerien couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:11 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jean Cerien! An intense looking Jean Cerien took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'man, fighting is scary....'.
