Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kendall Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pikku N�k�r�inen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). N�k�r�inen is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Juice Leskinen - Vaasankin veri vapisee. Pikku N�k�r�inen told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

16 - 7 - 2, fighting out of Helsinki, Pikku N�k�r�inen!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Hirohito Nitta.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alves misses with an uppercut
and N�k�r�inen cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
N�k�r�inen shoots in but no luck this time.
Alves fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but N�k�r�inen avoids it really well and circles away.
Alves scores with a shot to the body.
N�k�r�inen drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Alves really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Alves fakes high and swings low for a body shot but N�k�r�inen manages to avoid it.
Alves cracks N�k�r�inen with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Alves's jab looks to have found its range, popping N�k�r�inen under the eye.
N�k�r�inen shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Alves as he jumps to the side.
N�k�r�inen misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Alves to counter with a crisp jab.
N�k�r�inen shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than N�k�r�inen was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Alves keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
N�k�r�inen looking to control but Alves is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
