9 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Kyo Kurosaki! The judges for this bout are Felipe Paraventi, Alexandre Firmino and Leandro Rodrigues.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel tries for a takedown but Kurosaki circles away easily letting Kurosaki counter with a right hand. He'll look to pass Steel's guard now, I'm sure. We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Steel is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Kurosaki working some strikes from top position. Steel is rocked! Steel looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Kurosaki has picked Steel up and slammed him! Steel can't keep hold of the triangle and Kurosaki manages to pass to side control! Kurosaki working away diligently from side control. That's one minute gone in the round. Kurosaki in side control here. He's dropped a big elbow there and Steel looks hurt! Oh, he is hurt! Kurosaki turns on the heat and pounds him out for a TKO victory! Good killer instinct there!
