Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert Plesniak!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Tommy Mcgarry!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Bishop, William Gold and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mcgarry circles away from the clinch attempt

so Mcgarry counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mcgarry throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
Plesniak wants to sweep but no luck.
Plesniak has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Mcgarry is looking to advance position but Plesniak has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
Plesniak can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mcgarry is looking to escape.
Mcgarry working to try and regain half guard.

Plesniak controlling from mount.
Plesniak wants to control the pace but Mcgarry is squirming around nicely.
Mcgarry is trying to escape the mount.

Plesniak goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Mcgarry turns into him and now he's in Plesniak's guard.

Plesniak looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.
Mcgarry working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Plesniak is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Mcgarry lands a couple of elbows.
Plesniak manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mcgarry manages to get himself to full guard.

Mcgarry had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Plesniak defends it easily.

Plesniak looks up at the clock and then as Mcgarry takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Plesniak smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Plesniak wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mcgarry keeps working.
Mcgarry is trying to get back to half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Robert Plesniak will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Plesniak wants to sweep here but Mcgarry controlling him for the moment.
Mcgarry throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Plesniak works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Robert Plesniak overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Mcgarry throws an elbow that misses. Plesniak uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mcgarry's guard. Nice move by Plesniak!
Plesniak wants to pass the guard but Mcgarry is keeping the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Plesniak trying to control but Mcgarry is working from the bottom.

Mcgarry is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Mcgarry keeping moving, preventing Plesniak from controlling successfully.
Plesniak makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Plesniak stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mcgarry swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Mcgarry has an active guard here but Plesniak has managed to pass into half guard.

Plesniak is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

Mcgarry manages to get to full guard.

Plesniak is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Mcgarry!
Mcgarry is in all sorts of trouble here.

Plesniak is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Mcgarry has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Mcgarry!
Plesniak manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Mcgarry manages to get himself to full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Plesniak postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Robert Plesniak dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Mcgarry avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Mcgarry fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Plesniak tries to clinch up but Mcgarry circles away and keeps his distance.
Mcgarry shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Plesniak but Plesniak pushes him off and we're back to square one.
No luck for Mcgarry with that takedown attempt.
Robert Plesniak has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Tommy Mcgarry.
Plesniak is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Mcgarry accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Plesniak looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Mcgarry puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Mcgarry looking for a submission but Plesniak manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.
Plesniak trying to keep a closed guard but Mcgarry is proving a slippery customer.
Mcgarry postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Plesniak has Mcgarry pulled in close to control his posture.

Mcgarry has gone for a leg lock! Plesniak slips out almost immediately though and dives into Mcgarry's guard.
Plesniak wants to pass the guard but Mcgarry is keeping the position.

Plesniak got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mcgarry has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Plesniak has managed to get both his arms back between Mcgarry's legs - danger averted.

Mcgarry looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Plesniak pushing down on Mcgarry's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Plesniak works his way into full mount!
Mcgarry is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Plesniak tries to control but Mcgarry wriggling away.
Plesniak tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Plesniak scores with a couple of good head shots there.

Plesniak lands a nice shot to the head.
Plesniak lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mcgarry bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Plesniak is trying to control the position but Mcgarry postures up.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Mcgarry drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Plesniak dives on top into guard.
Tommy Mcgarry has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Robert Plesniak is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Plesniak tries to free his leg and advance position but Mcgarry is retaining full guard.

Well Plesniak has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
