Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, True Vengeance! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Wilsooooon James Da Silva! The judges for this bout are William Gold, Richard Clark and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Vengeance fails to land the takedown. James Da Silva ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face. Vengeance shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts James Da Silva as he jumps to the side. James Da Silva with a lazy takedown attempt and Vengeance counters with a straight right hand. James Da Silva tries to score a power double leg takedown but Vengeance sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten James Da Silva somewhat. Vengeance connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Vengeance lands with a nice body punch.
That's one minute gone in the round. James Da Silva avoids a punch combination nicely.

Vengeance changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. James Da Silva tries to avoid it but Vengeance manages to keep hold of a leg and drag James Da Silva to the ground. James Da Silva escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for True Vengeance. That's going to take a lot out of him. Vengeance throws a leg kick that misses. Vengeance lands a jab to the head.
James Da Silva fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Vengeance to the ground. James Da Silva is now in Vengeance's guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. James Da Silva being controlled here momentarily. James Da Silva stands and throws Vengeance's legs to the side, diving into side control. James Da Silva has hold of Vengeance's arm. He's looking for a kimura. Vengeance seems comfortable defending it but James Da Silva has shifted his position slighty and is cranking on the arm! Vengeance is real pain and he's forced to tap out! Vengeance is disgusted with himself for not defending it better but James Da Silva couldn't care less - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Wilsooooon James Da Silva!
