Silva has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Mark Lindsreem acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mark Lindsreem!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Mauricio Rocha and Alexandre Firmino.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

and Lindsreem counters with a nice double leg into guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Silva looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Lindsreem sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Lindsreem's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Silva is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mark Lindsreem wasn't active enough on the ground.
Silva fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Mark Lindsreem seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Silva takes a kick to the side of the head.


It looks like Anderson Jr Silva has been cut.
Lindsreem loads up on a big right hand but Silva slips the punch.

Lindsreem rushes Silva and presses him up against the cage.

Lindsreem pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

A jab from Lindsreem misses.

Lindsreem gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Silva to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Lindsreem pulls Silva in to control the position.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Silva won't allow Lindsreem to sweep him here.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Mark Lindsreem wasn't active enough on the ground.

Silva shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Silva was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Lindsreem is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Lindsreem wants to control but Silva is having none of it.
Lindsreem is squirming around, avoiding Silva's attempts to control the action.
Silva is breathing heavily.
Lindsreem regains half guard.
Lindsreem makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Lindsreem.

Lindsreem should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Lindsreem uses the cage to get back to his feet.

Lindsreem closes the distance and clinches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Lindsreem breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
A combination from Silva does no damage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!



Lindsreem shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Lindsreem was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Lindsreem gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Lindsreem shoots in and drives through. Silva sprawls well.
Lindsreem shoots in for a double leg but Silva sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Lindsreem gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Silva to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lindsreem is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Lindsreem manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Silva manages to get himself to full guard.
Mark Lindsreem has got the better of the ground game so far.

Lindsreem throws a big elbow that misses.

Lindsreem gets to his feet - Silva follows without any prompting.
Anderson Jr Silva is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lindsreem closes the distance and clinches.

Lindsreem gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Silva regains guard.
Lindsreem advances position into side control!

Lindsreem decides to take the fight back to the feet.
This has been an exciting period of action!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lindsreem.

Lindsreem escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Lindsreem dives in and grabs Silva's left leg, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes down on Lindsreem's head and hops out.

Lindsreem closes the distance and clinches.

Silva tries to clinch up.
Lindsreem shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Silva sprawls well. Silva wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lindsreem gets slowly back to his feet.
Lindsreem misses with a takedown attempt - Silva sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Silva enables Lindsreem to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Silva manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Lindsreem looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Silva is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Lindsreem showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Lindsreem tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Silva swivels and escapes.
Lindsreem throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.
Lindsreem has a takedown stuffed.
Lindsreem shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Silva as he jumps to the side.
Anderson Jr Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark Lindsreem.
Silva moves to clinch but Lindsreem breaks away

and Lindsreem counters with a takedown into side control.
Silva throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.

Lindsreem tries for a kimura but Silva is defending well.
Lindsreem takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

That's one minute gone in the round.
A lull in the action here as Lindsreem stalls from top position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silva trying to control but Lindsreem flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back!
You can see the frustration on Silva's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
Silva holding both Lindsreem 's hands and preventing any damage.
I really don't envy Silva right now.

Lindsreem biding his time, controlling Silva.

Lindsreem has got one arm under Silva's chin. This could be trouble... Silva trying to control the other hand but Lindsreem gets it free and sqeezes tight - just a matter of time now! Yep, Silva has tapped out! The fight is over!
