The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Anni Minnemäki.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tahtinen fails in his attempt to clinch.
Luukku swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Tahtinen doesn't manage to clinch there - Luukku circles away.
Luukku tries to keep at a distance but Tahtinen has taken the fight into the clinch.
Tahtinen throws a knee to the head but misses.
Luukku turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Luukku manages to end up in side control.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Tahtinen dodges the ground and pound from Luukku.
Luukku remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Luukku connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Tahtinen some visible discomfort.

Luukku is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Tahtinen to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tahtinen shrugs it off.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Luukku is working for a guillotine from mount but Tahtinen frees his head quite easily.
Luukku is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Tahtinen can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
