The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big left from Alliance misses.
Abous drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.
Abous throws an elbow that misses. Alliance uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Abous's guard. Nice move by Alliance!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Alliance is looking to stand up but Abous won't let him.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Abous holds on and takes a little breather.
Abous has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
The ref stands the fighters back up because Steel Penn Alliance just wasn't active enough.

Abous works to advance to full mount. Alliance defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
Alliance knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Abous on the ground.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

He's trying desperately to grab hold of Abous around the waist but Abous pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Abous is the winner by TKO! Abous jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
