The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williams works Garcia's body with a nice hook.
Garcia shoots in but Williams avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Garcia drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Garcia wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Williams, who protects the arm well.
Garcia is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Williams knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Garcia has hold of Williams's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Williams tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Garcia cranks the arm and Williams screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Williams, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
