Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
17 - 16 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Con Dumas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
9 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Pentti Ali!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Valeri Chadov and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dumas shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ali as he avoids it easily.
Ali lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Dumas circles away quickly and effectively.
The fighters circling - Ali throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Dumas fails to land the takedown.
Ali works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance.
Ali looks to score with a jab to the body but Dumas is just out of range.
Dumas tries to clinch but Ali is having none of it.
Dumas takes the fight into the clinch.
Ali lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
It looks like Con Dumas has been cut.
Dumas is trying to pull guard but Ali turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Con Dumas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Dumas letting Ali take a breather here.
Ali lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Ali trying to stall but Dumas improves his position.

Ali wants to break free but Dumas has control.
Ali misses with a hook from the clinch.
Ali goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Dumas tries to pull guard but Ali won't allow it.
Ali swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Ali breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ali closes the distance and pushes Dumas back into the cage.
Ali misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Ali misses with a punch to the body.
Ali misses with some punches.
Ali avoiding damage.
Ali continues to stall. The referee tells him to work or he's going to break them up.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Ali creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
Ali tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Ali throws a head punch that misses.
Ali is looking to control Dumas's arms but Dumas gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ali has his back to the cage.
Ali swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Dumas has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ali uses from the top position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Ali trying to stand up but can't free himself from Dumas's guard.
Ali got a little sloppy there for a moment and Dumas has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Ali has managed to get both his arms back between Dumas's legs - danger averted.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Dumas working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Ali doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Dumas is tightening it up a little... Ali has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Ali reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Ali taps out! Nice BJJ there by Dumas!
