Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shawn Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Samson Savea (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jackson's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Hustlin. Samson Savea looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Samson Savea!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson shoots in looking for a takedown. Savea tries to sprawl out of it but Jackson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Savea manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Savea misses with a wild body shot.
Savea is looking to clinch.
Jackson throws a right hand that Savea ducks under and follows up with a left that Savea also avoids with ease.
Jackson fails to land the takedown.
Jackson shoots in and drives through. Savea sprawls well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Shawn Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Savea tries to close the distance and clinch but Jackson swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Samson Savea seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Savea as he jumps to the side.
Savea fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Savea is staying active underneath Jackson, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Jackson closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Savea can do anything to dispel that myth.
Jackson winds up and cracks Savea with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jackson is looking to take a break and control but Savea is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Savea tries to kick Jackson off but Jackson keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jackson wants to take a breather but Savea is having none of it.

Jackson changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Savea tries to avoid it but Jackson manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Savea to the ground. Savea escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Savea is looking to clinch but Jackson is avoiding it.

Horrible takedown by Jackson or perhaps it was just good defense by Savea which made him look bad.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jackson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
