Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Damien Edna.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gleeson shoots in for a takedown but Slaughter shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Gleeson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Slaughter misses with a two punch combination.
Slaughter tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Gleeson was well out of range. Poor timing from Slaughter.
Slaughter throws a good cross that connects.
Slaughter throws an off balance right hand
and Gleeson counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Gleeson.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Gleeson throwing strikes but missing.
Slaughter knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Gleeson on the ground.
Gleeson pushes down on Slaughter's leg and manages to get into half guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Gleeson has knee on belly and moves into mount.
Gleeson cracks Slaughter with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Slaughter tries to lock up and control but Gleeson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Gleeson tries to control but Slaughter wriggling away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gleeson avoids the attempt from Slaughter to control.

Slaughter tries to reverse the position but Gleeson maintains control.

Gleeson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Slaughter kaven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Slaughter wants to improve position but instead he's given up his back.
Gleeson is working for a rear naked choke. Slaughter is not defending it well and Gleeson has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Slaughter refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Slaughter's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
