Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Paul Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jace Anderson!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Gregory Folan and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis shoots and misses

and Anderson counters by clinching up.

Anderson jumps guard.

Anderson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Davis defends it easily.
Anderson is controlling Davis's posture.
Davis trying to control the position from guard on top but Anderson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Davis pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Anderson is keeping the position for now.

Anderson working for a triangle but Davis defends it easily.
Davis looking to sit in guard and control but Anderson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Davis looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Anderson passes into side control.
Davis wants to get back to his feet but Anderson is dominant here and he's now got Davis's back!
Davis tries to escape the position.
Anderson throwing lazy shots from the back mount that aren't doing any damage.

Anderson controls the position.
Let's hope that Anderson has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Davis can't escape the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Anderson lands punches and elbows.
Davis is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Anderson.
Davis trying to control the action but Anderson just sinks the hooks in.

Davis covers up after that shot from Anderson.
Anderson lands with a big left hand that may well have hurt his opponent. Can Davis hold on?!
Anderson has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Davis's body.

Davis misses with a takedown attempt - Anderson sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Anderson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Davis throws a head kick but Anderson moves out of range.
Davis fails in his attempt to clinch.
Davis changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Anderson tries to avoid it but Davis manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Anderson to the ground. Anderson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Danga de danga de dang - Davis scores with a four punch combination!
Anderson throws a series of punches but Davis avoids them all with ease.
Davis fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Anderson avoids it really well and circles away.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul Davis. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Anderson closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Anderson lands in his opponent's guard.

Davis working a defensive guard but Anderson passes into half guard.
Anderson takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Anderson wants to work for an arm triangle but Davis is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Anderson is controlling the pace.

Anderson is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Davis doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Anderson.

Anderson throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.

Anderson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Davis, who protects the arm well.

Jace Anderson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!


Davis throws a combination that misses
and Anderson counters with a left to the body.

Anderson has closed the distance and engaged Davis in a clinch.
Davis has Anderson pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Anderson manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.

Anderson gets control of Davis's arms and successfully pulls guard. Anderson will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Anderson has a butterfly guard looking to sweep but Davis has passed into side control.
Anderson manages to work his way to half guard, despite Davis's best efforts.

Anderson kicks Davis off and gets back to his feet.

Anderson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Davis did well to prevent Anderson getting side control.
Anderson takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Still in half guard, Anderson seems content to control.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Davis is looking to escape.
Anderson passes to full mount!

Anderson working for a guillotine from mount but Davis is in no mood to give up.
Davis is looking to get to half guard.
Anderson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The referee warns Davis that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Poor strikes thrown by Anderson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Anderson jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Davis manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Anderson decides to stand back up.

Davis doesn't manage to clinch there - Anderson circles away.

Anderson is looking to work some ground and pound but Davis has wrist control.
Anderson sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Davis's guard.

Davis is looking to control Anderson's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Davis avoid being mounted?
Davis throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Anderson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Davis sees it coming and defends easily.

Anderson seems to be looking for submissions.
Davis trying to hold on to Anderson's head to control him but Anderson postures up.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Davis is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Anderson is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Anderson is looking for a kimura here.

I've got Anderson winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
