Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between TJ Griffin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Malham (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Malham has chosen Poets of the Fall - War as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. John Malham told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

and Malham counters with a nice low kick that buckles Griffin's knee momentarily.
Malham tries to land a front kick but Griffin steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Malham has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Griffin is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Malham.
Malham manages to work his way to half guard, despite Griffin's best efforts.
Malham is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
