Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ryan Ballinger (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and General Zod (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ballinger comes into the arena with A Scottish Soldier by Andy Stewart blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as General Zod enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ballinger is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Zod avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Zod throws a body punch but Ballinger moves out of range.
The fighters circling - Ballinger throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Zod thows a left - swing and a miss!

Ballinger tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in the close the distance. Zod manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Zod is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Ballinger had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Ballinger moves into the clinch successfully.
Ballinger lands an elbow that stopped Zod in his tracks for a moment.
It looks like General Zod has been cut.
Zod blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
General Zod dominated that round.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Zod moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Zod throws a hook to the side of Ballinger's head but Ballinger sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Oh Ballinger is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Zod lands with a big left! Ballinger is wobbled badly! Zod comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Ballinger to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
